As some of you know, I have started training again to compete in a fitness competition. I haven't been on stage since moving here 3 years ago and going through a pregnancy where I gained 60 pounds with Kai. I have always wanted to step foot on the stage again after giving birth as a personal accomplishment to bring my body back to pre-baby, as well as the gratification I receive in competing and being on stage. I have decided that the timing is right to compete this November (19-21st) at the Fitness America Pageant National Competition held in Las Vegas this year.
My noteworthy competition experience extends over 7 years, beginning in 1998. Winning various regional shows and always placing in the top 20 Finals at the Fitness America Pageant Nationals, my best show took place in 2003, a 4th Place win at the Fitness Universe Pageant International with over 120 fitness competitors attending in my division.

There will be a Silent Auction and Fund Raiser event at Breakers Restaurant on Friday, October 16th from 6-9pm. I am reaching out to anyone that can help in getting donations for the silent auction. I have some already: BMW Honolulu, Chama Swimwear, Noelani Designs, Excel Wet Suits, Shane Beschen surfboard, to name a few...
The evening will have Diva Drink Specials and complimentary pupus, live music from local female musicians, Noelani Design booth, Diva Exchange Fitness Boot Camp giveaways, and more.
I will also be highlighting the Hawaii Komen Race for a Cure 5k that "Team Diva" (deadline to register is the 27th - come join us!!! There's even a 1 mile fun walk - no excuses!! Diva, Kim Ladia is our Team Captain!) takes place on Oct. 18th. A portion of the proceeds from the silent auction will be donated. I am currently seeking out local businesses that would be interested in participating in the Silent Auction - and ideas of what to be auctioned!
